REMI AND NNEOMA

"Remi and Nneoma" is a modern Nigerian retelling of the biblical story of Ruth and Naomi, set in the Ikwerre region of Nigeria. The film follows two women, Nneoma and her daughter-in-law Remi, as they navigate grief, widowhood, and new beginnings after a shared personal loss. The story explores themes of love, grief, and the quiet resilience of the human spirit, as both women face the challenges of widowhood and societal pressures. Through their emotional connection, they find unexpected love, leading to a journey of healing and rediscovery.
